Great time for a Great Cause, The 5th Annual Charity: Ball

Ken Charity: Water held their 5th Annual Charity: Ball event last night in New York City. Charity: Water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

It was a great event. Of course, it had it’s fair share of celebrities, Adrian Grenier of HBO’s Entourage hosted along with founder Scott Harrison and John Slattery of AMC’s Mad Men. However, the real story by far was the commitments from all the sponsors and the attendees. Overall I had a good time, donated some money, a bit of sweat equity in the Waterwalk, and meet some very nice people.

It’s a really great cause, they’re actively engaged in providing real world results. Donations go directly toward projects like building wells and water filtering systems and teaching villagers about proper sanitation. We’re talking measurable long lasting effects on entire communities.

Take a look at what they’re doing… and by all means please share this post and comment any thoughts you might have.
